If so, check out the conversion work that a member here, Syph007, is doing. As you all know, I`m pretty darn cheap when it comes to spending money on myself. Even so, I bought one, that`s a testimony as to how good they are! His turnaround time is quick, and prices are more than fair with the quality you get.

Some photos of mine.

Thanks great, I've seen those modified swiss army knives before and wanted to find someone who did it, thanks john

I'm so glad you are happy with the custom swiss army knife! That HAIII finish is tough stuff, it should stay looking good for a long time.

I feel honored to receive such positive feedback. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Thanks again!

I`m very happy with the knife, Robert. I got this one with fishing in mind, that`s why I chose the scissors. With the knife being held together with the screws, it just instills a feeling of confidence that it won`t let you down.

Very cool!

Of course John knows I love Victorinox.

I will be contacting Robert to see if he can do a full Ti Waiter - my old Waiter is starting to show his years and it would be very sweet to have a Ti version to either replace or at least provide a rotation option for the old boy.

Thanks for posting your review Mr. K!

Very cool. Thanks for this link and thread. I love my SAKS as well, but the cellidor handles are definitely the weak spot for me. I have a couple models that I use for backpacking, climbing, fly fishing, etc., and the handles are basically consumables for these models.

Again, thanks and great link!

Nice. I haven't had a SAK in a long time but I may need one now.

That's a great piece John. I've admired his work for some time now.

Heck yeah I like SAKs!
Love the work Syph007 does too!
I love the look of the colored alox, but don't care for the way it wears off & the tougher HAIII finish looks to be the answer.
Now if Syph can incorporate the tooth pick & tweezers I'd be a very happy camper.
Subscribed to his thread for future SAK modding.

The only problem I see with yours John is it needs a......

Wait for it.......

Saw blade.:p

JK-JK,I meant to say the fish scaler/hook remover.;) :barf:

I actually hate the scaler blade on my champ,it's the one that gets the least use if ever.

Love the green John.

Love the green John.

I was torn between a saw and the scissors, thought both would make it too thick. I`m glad I chose the scissors, because yesterday a very generous member here sent me a brand new Farmer!

Congrats on the farmer, mine seems to have vanished so I'll have to get a new one on the way as well. :)

I've thought about the same thing and i think both scissors and a saw would make it to think as well.

I love my farmers!! and one handed trekkers. I started speaking with Syph007 the other day. I'm still trying to decide my combo but it's basically going to be my bushcraft pocket knife. I don't want it to thick but I'm thinking I want the pliers, saw, large blade and I'm thinking small blade but can't decide.

I want the pliers for picking up posts out of the fire and stuff like that but just can't decide on the whole set up.

I started out with a SAK Camper until it was stolen by a co-worker.
Then I got a Huntsman, which is basically a Camper with scissors -- and it's been in my pocket for over 20 years at this point.
these ALOX customs are nice looking, but pricey enough I'm not sure I'm willing to pony up the $$ for one.

i like the idea, pliers are useful, i'd go reamer over a small blade,
