Yes absolutely.

Ive had a couple new knives where I procrastinated doing it and almost lost body screws or clip screws that were working themselves out. Standard procedure now is immediately take out and loctite all screws on a knife. No more issues. And I've always done and do the pivot screw. Once i get the tension set where I like it I dint feel like messing with it constantly.

I use just a little blue Loctite on the pivot as long as it is T8 or bigger! I wont use Loctite on any T6 screws because it could be a bear to get back out with out stripping the screw down the road!

The key with Loctite is to let the knife sit for 24-48 hrs. after applying. Otherwise it just doesn't work, in my experience. If I'm impatient, I use Super Glue, which works well after about 2 minutes curing. Also breaks free pretty easily. Just make sure you don't get any on the face of the pivot screw.

I've used Loctite on all my knives (and guns, scope mounts, motorcycles, etc.) and never experienced any negatives. If you use the appropriate formulation and follow the instructions, it doesn't cause problems in my experience. I use the 242 blue (removable with hand tools) 95% of the time. I think most problems are caused by over-applying it.

You can also make the removable (blue) Loctite 242 even more removable by not degreasing the fasteners before applying it sparingly.

I use blue 242 Loctite on every screw on any knife I have, you only need the smallest amount to hold. I have lost pivot and frame screws before so now after cleaning and lubing I add a little Loctite by putting a drop onto a piece of plastic then I can just dab the tip of the screw into the Loctite. All that is needed is just a little on one thread on one side. Like other have stated I like to let the knife sit for 24 hours once I get the pivot adjusted the way I like it.

I’ve used Teflon, blue Loctite, and I just did a knife with Vibra-tite. Vibra-tite is a little different because you let it cure (15 min) before assembling it. It sticks to the threads and allows at least a couple disassemblies and assemblies without replacement.

There is grey thread seal (Teflon) tape for stainless steel, but thread seal tape is a lubricant, so it is sort of the opposite of Loctite. I never use Loctite. If a screw is coming loose, it's pretty easy to feel it and tighten appropriately.
I use Blue 243 since I don't check all the screws on my knives daily.
