Nope. Life is too short to carry junky stuff. I don't even care for $50 mid range knives, and definitely don't like CCC. I don't have much money but I would rather eat at home instead of a restaurant, and buy a $100 knife that I like. I have looked at a lot of inexpensive or cheap knives. I used to buy a lot of them and would add a cheapy to each knife order just to try them out. I realized I don't care for them at all and they have all been given away to people who needed a knife. Except the ones I didn't think were safe which quite a few were that bad. They normally ended up thrown into a log a couple times until they failed or broke.
Some people have had extremely bad luck with Benchmade if they have never had a good one. I have around 40 and have never had a bad one. Which from what I read on the forums it seems is much more likely to happen. I have the real Benchmade of that fake copy that is shown in this thread (14205). The two examples I have I would put up against any copy. They are some of the smoothest, tightest locking folders I own and probably more so than the couple $300-$400 folders I own. To each their own. I will take quality and high end 'super steels' over inexpensive and cheap every time. And not just knives. I will save up, research, and buy quality for anything I buy.
