Do you oil your EDC knife?

I wipe all my blades down with an lightly oiled cloth. It just brings that blade back to life, no matter the age.

Put a capful of mineral oil on a papertowel/rag and wipe down the whole blade, make sure you can't see any drops, or you put too much on.

I don´t oil my blades regularly, just when I´m sure, I dont wanna use them for some time, but that´s personal taste (most of my knives are carbon steel blades). I wouldn´t use WD40, if you want to do food prep. I´d take mineral oil in general. It´s cheaper and it doesn´t matter when you eat an apple, peeled by a fresh oiled blade.

Just my two Cent.

Kind regards

I oil my stainless to keep things from sticking to it. nothing kills your edge performance like having it gummed up with adhesive residue. Mineral oil on stuff I might cut food with and Eezox on everything else.

I don't even oil my carbon steel blades. Carrying around an oily blade means that you will either need to wipe it off before using it or your going to get oil on whatever it is you are cutting.

Oil also does a great jub of collecting lint, dust, grit, etc, etc.
