Do you own many single blade traditionals?

I think an equal end cattleman in 3 1/2" ish size is about the perfect knife. Then again, I've been watching "The Real West" on the History Channel this morning, so that may be playing into it also.

It can be a factor. I watched the entire run of The Sopranos in about 3 weeks a couple of years ago, I never recall eating so much pasta or drinking so much red wine in my life! Fortunately I stopped short at ice-picking the neighbours! :D

I prefer the single blades mainly for the thin handles and less weight and bulk in my pockets, ie the #55 however I did just get a #92 in the autumn gold and its not bad at all for a 2 blade.

Well, I just did a quick count, and it turns out I have 12 single-bladed traditionals, if you don't count smaller SAKs. Of those, I do carry one with me pretty much all the time: Case Slimline Trapper (not in my pockets, but in my work bag). It's for food prep / apple slicing. I kind of tend to forget about it since it's off-person carry. The other one that I carry fairly often is a Case Russlock, which is a nice little one-hander once you get the hang of it.

I have no knives with four or more blades. I have a few with three blades and a passel with one or two blades. I carry all of them, indiscriminatley and without prejudice, at one time or another. Such is my affliction.

Of the 6 traditional folders I have 4 of them are single-blade (3 spearpoints and one sheepfoot). The other two have two blades. None with 3 or more.

I don't like a fat/heavy pocket knife. Too many blades (more than two for me) makes it less appealing to me - I love the slim/flat profile of the single.

So far early into my collection, I have nothing but single blade knives. I need the extra pinch factor to facilitate opening the knives.
