Do you play an instrument?

I play guitar a little (very little). I got a Yamaha FG-410A, that sits and gathers dust most of the time. My son is the musician...plays a clarinet. I got him an old wood G. Prufer last year off ebay. He loves it.

drums. started to learn piano, as a kid, didn't stay with it for more than the starter songs. Started to learn guitar, but got bored with it too. Wish I would have learned both. So...just drums.

I was a woodwind specialist in school, flute and piccolo were my primary instruments though. Been playing for over 20 years. I also play piano. Music is in my blood, my grandfather played trumpet, valve trombone, guitar and sang for several swing bands in the war and after. My mother plays piano now for nearly 50 years, my father in law is a professional drummer who has played with Bos Skaggs, Tower of Power, and many other groups. He is a funk and latin drummer mostly, but also was a snare instructor for drum and bugle corps. My wife is a dancer (get your mind out of the gutter...) and her brother is a bass horn player mostly marching baritone, euphonium, and melophone.

I play saxophone in a working R&B band. I started college as a music major and then moved to engineering. The band keeps me busy most weekends these days and I also sub in other local bands around the area.

Electric bass & analog synthesizers are my thing. Music is more or less my main hobby. At least the most expensive one by a good stretch. I've been playing bass for 17 years and synths about 4 years.

Current band's name: These Knives.

Honest!
