Do you prefer a cord wrap or scales on your Eskabar?

I prefer the scales. My hands tend to get really dirty when I work, and paracord can hold all sorts of bacteria even if you wash it. Scales are a lot easier to clean off and sanitize after a day out in the field.
 
Scales here, too. Paracord tends to move under use, so it's a no go for me.
 
Yes. I need to get a set of the scales Spark made back in the day. Those looked yummy.

ETA: My 14s are wrapped, bare, and scaled. Same as my 11s. And my Izulas.
 
Scales. Dry quicker and clean up easier.
 
I think a lot of people like the wrap until they put the final knot in the paracord and yank the knife out of the sheath and slice their thumb open. After that its scales all the way baby!!!

Didn't like the feel of cordwrap but factory scales were just right.

And you get 2 sets of scales with the factory set.
 
I think we're all in agreement - scales. The factory scales are inexpensive, tough, and make the knife feel much better in hand.
 
Sh@rp scales rockin on my 24. I tried the wrap on my 14 for a while but in doing a catching challenge I found that I got a lot of hot spots and cut it off part way through the challenge.
 
I had mine wrapped and enjoyed the feel until I cleaned a few catfish. The smell from the cord became intolerable! I was gifted some refitted Izula panels from a fellow beckerhead and have been much happier withe the results! Easy to clean, no fishy smell!! All is good!
 
11 and Izula are both bare. I have scales for both, I have wood and Micarta for the 11 and wood and G10 for my Izula. Anytime I wrap or handle either of them I always end up taking it off because the wrap gets gross quickly and the scales are too bulky for my pocket or when I neck carry they're too heavy.

Scales all the way. Cord wrap doesn't seem to be very hygienic.
