Do you prefer to use sleek or complex body knives?

For work I prefer complex / grippy. For leisure time something smooth.

Complex enough that my hands cannot slip, but no more complex than that.

I favor a physical barrier between my fingers and the blade edge.

I think the humble Opinel fits the bill for sleek simplicity that stood the test of time.

I like both. If a knife with a more positive grip fits my hands, then I really like it, but of course more neutral grips will fit everyone for the most part. The Reate Torrent is the most comfortable knife I own for my hands.

I do find myself gravitating to more neutral handle shapes, as well as knives that have thinner blade stock for daily carry. If i know ahead of time that im really gonna be beating on it ill carry something a little beefier.

Although with your examples I wouldn't necessarily consider the Inkosi to be very complex compared to others, but to each their own.

My most carried folders are generally the TRM Neutron 2, QC Waypoint, and the Hogue Ritter RSK. I'd consider all of them to be pretty neutral as far as shape goes.

I really like the look of that waypoint. The blade shape reminds of a kizer Begleiter 2. Nice neutron as well, I think I would enjoy a neutron if I ever got around to picking one up.

Mostly carrying traditional slip joints these days, right now it’s a 2022 BF bunny knife, but often a SAK alox soldier or Case medium stockman/trapper.
When I get the urge to carry a one handed locking folder, I have to give the nod to a large Sebenza.

I prefer sleek and generally dislike “ergonomically” shaped handles, though I own a few, like a Manix XL, they never get carry time.
