Well i was watching the walking dead and well you guessed it Daryl stabbed a zombie through the top of the head tottally awesome i know but would the tip of the knife survive would the knife even be able to do that if so tell me i have no doubt in busse's best knives ive ever owned.

ummmmmmmm... yes. :D
I know a Hartsfield did said act and the knife went through the helmet also.

I don't think it would require too much effort. There are videos of people stabbing through metal drums, and I've never seen a Busse knife with a weak tip. A human skull would get 100% dominated.

Awesome so if someone ever breaks into my house i can trust my knife or i can just get a gun

not surprisingly cold steel did a video tested on a pigs skull. you tube removed the video for it being disgusting and violating there policy. the fixed blades didn't have to much trouble but the folders did. However I think on a zombie it would be much easier do to the decaying and rotting flesh.

people get killed with icepicks and screwdrivers all the time. That Deadliest Warrior with Mafia vs Yakuza showed how easy an icepick went through the synthetic testing head. They've stabbed quite a few things through actually.

I think my favorite though was the samurai that put an arrow through each eyesocket. Nothing but net..

And the Vlad episode where that big dude cut the pig in half 3 times in 3 swings with the killig

I would say yes

I don't think there's much question that it would easily penetrated a skull undamaged. It can be stabbed repeatedly into bricks and sheet metal unharmed, and regardless of the fact that my wife tells me my head is full or rocks, i don't think my skull is as hard as a brick

I would say the blade could penetrate easily enough without sustaining any damage. The only questionable Variable would be the person wielding the blade.

Buy a coconut and find out.

Personally I think the scalp/skin/hair would help the tip grip while the force gathers and punches through the skull itself. And with any Busse, let alone an absolute tank such as the TGLB, it is a certainty unless the person wielding the blade doesn't use enough force.

I saw those Deadliest warrior episodes as well. All in all it is a great show.

As for being worries if you had sufficient strength to get that knife to go through a skiull I present the x factor.

you are most likely in a situation where its do or die... you or him / her. You would be surprised what feats of strength and pain / damage tolerance can be achieved when one has their adrenaline pumping.

Then there are the rare cases of people under extreme duress that accomplish some crazy feats of strength. One example is the mother that picks up a car to free a stuck child. ETC......

send me a human skull (or something) and i'll post pics of what happens to my TGLB when i stab it.

As EMT1581 mentioned, the TGLB is a tank... i think it would require you stabbing into an anvil or an engine block to really damage the tip

Youtube removed Cold Steel's video?

That's messed up, it was way more tame than most of their proof videos... and twice as ridiculous :p

What knife was it for? I'm guessing Cold Steel still has it on their site. I'd like to see it.

Thanks

On the other hand, during basic training we had to run the bayonet course. It was alot harder than one would imagine to stick the bayonet into the targets deeply. I guess you have to factor in no sleep and being tired as hell. the first few targets were tough but then getting mad at not being able to get much penetration combined with adrenaline finally kicking in to my exhausted body and the rest of the targets I stuck so deeply I frequently had to put a let up on the target to pull the bayonet free.

No it does not. The TGLB has no stored energy. The question is can you generate enough energy to get through a skull. For most people and the crown of the skull the answer is probably no.
