Do you think LE FBM worth the extra money over CG FBM?

Hi guys, Do you think the LE version is worth the extra $300.00? I know the LE has Satin finish & thicker(.320) blade but 3 bills? Also do you think the .320" blade with tiger magnum handle be just too thick for average hand? Thanks for any feedback.

Yes. Its worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

Seeing as how the SHBM can't seem to be touched for under $600, if you can get one at all. The LE at .320, Satin finish, 10" blade, and Mag Tiger Stripe handles, is an awesome blade for use or as a collector. Not to mention, a few years from now we will all be trying to get one and if you can pry one from someone I speculate that you won't be able to touch one for under $1000+.

Regarding the thickness of the handle, I've got a few HOGFSHs that have the standard handles that I wish I had gotten the Magnums since they fill out the hand better. I don't think that Jerry made his decision to configure the LE without some testing and evaluation and although it looks great, I'm positive that it will perform even better.

In the long run, the LE version is worth it as it's very limited and therfore will become very rare and sought after. Also, don't forget that it's Satin finished which takes more time to complete and the blade is thicker as well which means you get more INFI !! Money well spent !!

Way worth it. The hand finishing on this large of a blade has to be worth at least half of the difference, the very limited Tiger Hide material in magnum size is good for about $75 or so and how can you really put a price on 16 inches of 5/16" INFI.

Buy it now or forever regret it!

Yes.

I agree, they would be worth it, especially to the Busse collector.
.320 thickness...that is insane! Think of the heftiness, it's almost unimaginable.

The LE's will be seen for $1000+ , if not, close to it.

If your buying it as a collectable yes it's very worth it. In the past the Battle Mistress has Trippled or more in value in a few years. And if you do decide to use a LE... it will still raise in value,

Me... Heck I just needed a new steak knife for fogo's next year :D

The magnum handles are definitely worth it. I have medium sized hands and got standard slabs on my HOGFSH and am sending it back to get magnums put on after getting my HHFSH with them. Definitely fills the hand and is not too think IMO. Is bound to disburse impact across your hand better as well.

Worth it. It's the only one that's getting the Tiger Hide. And I think for a knife that big and thick, Mags are the only way to go (for me anyway). 10 inches of blade would cost $1000 alone on a custom basis...LE = limited. How limited I don't know. Anyone?

Limited Edition means as many as are ordered during this cycle and the combination will NEVER be offered again. So...in later years we will be referring to it as an '06 FMBLE or something like that denoting the release/offer.

ya.... i wish i could afford it at the moment :(

stupid school (and rent, and utilities, and gas :( )

for me it would be absolutely worth it, since all i'd be using this for would be a heavy chopper. ideally i'd like to have one of each though :D

Well.....i did not think so when I did my purchase with CG.
Then......i gave 2 glance.....i close my window......for some reason I open Busse site again......i gave 2 more glance......

Now i think it is totally worth it. But i don't have the money to buy it.

WEll I dont know how long this one will be up but I am getting and LE god willing. Not for the collectors standpoint but for my own, I like everything about it and I know if I dont buy it now, well god help my wallet cuz it'll be hurtin if I wait till later.

In my opinion it is worth it if you can afford it. I agree that it is an excellent investment and will be worth a lot more in the not too distant future. However, I would not recommend buying one if it is going to put a serious hurt on the family finances. Even if the credit card folks are willing to loan you the money, those monthly interest fees really jack up the cost of the knife.

As for myself, I want one of each  (fat chance of that happening :( ). The CG would be a beater for sure, but I think that the LE would be my first safe queen. I don't think that I could bring myself to abuse something so beautiful.

Please, don't anyone buy the LEs, that way the few that were ordered, will be worth much more, thanks.

Yeah whatever, you're just going to make .320 SHSHs out of them. :D

To LE ....or not to LE? That is the question!

Any LE will more then hold its value. if you do not like it sell it and get drunk for the profit.

Cheers,

André
