Do you use the blade on your multi-tool?

I rarely use the blade on my pliers-based multitool because I keep it in my backpack and I always have at least one folder and a SAK in my pocket. I also find the ergos while using the blade on this specific multitool (a Leatherman Surge) to be uncomfortable. On this particular multitool I like having the blade as a backup. However, I would have preferred it if they didn't make it one hand opening, because I think the ergos, while the tool is closed, would be greatly improved.

Agreed about Surge ergos, but most of the problem is because of sharp edges. When using gloves, it is not so bad, but gripping the Surge barehanded is really uncomfortable. I don't intend to use this multitool again without deburring the thing first. In general, I prefer Leatherman products, but one thing they don't really do well enough is make them hand friendly.

The blades on my Leatherman's are nice and convenient. I use them all the time. As a matter of fact, I would never even consider buying a multitool without a blade.

I use the blade on my leatherman super tool 200 all the time, it beats having to use a box cutter at work....

Yes. I use the blade on my multi-tool everyday. In fact I only carry my leatherman skeletool and have not missed carring another knife.

Yes, I use my multi-tool blades all the time. That's why I like the Charge tools. Not only are the blades made from 154CM and S30v but they also open one handed. There is such utility in the. When wearing gloves or if your holding a strap that needs to be cut, you don't need to take a glove off or put down the strap- just open the blade. When I carry a Charge, I don't even bother carrying another folder!
