Do you use your CR often?

I got the CR bug last year. Ended up purchasing three models over the year to add to my knife collection. I just haven't used them much at all. I have used the sebenza w/micarta scales occasionally for things like cutting up cardboard boxes. But I still find myself going back to the Spyderco and Benchmades. I guess part of it is because I consider the knives prime items in my collection rather than EDC material so I have in my mind I don't want to scratch them up. I didn't get anything fancy. Just the plain Jane variety and one sebenza w/micarta scales. I don't use them for the same reason I don't use my other expensive items like Microtech OTF's. I don't want to break something,.

I use them all the time and try gery hard not to baby them. I find them easy to touch up anyway but as they are some if my most expensive folders I think it is just human nature to be hesitant to really thump on them.

I am in the opposite boat. I can't not use them. I try to carry other brands of knives, but they just don't "stick". I'll dabble, but always end up back with a CRK in my pocket. I like my collection much more now that they are mostly users. Admiring them is only half the joy, I would argue.

I cannot afford to not use my Ti Lock. I carry it every day, and that means EVERY DAY[emoji106], so I use it for whatever cutting tasks I come across. For me, the joy in owning these awesome tools come from using them.

I have 2 Sebenzas that I carry. Often just one of them, sometimes both. It's a rare day when the one carried isn't used at least once.

I recently picked up my first CRK, a Sebenza 25. I've carried it a few times, but it hasn't made it into the daily rotation yet, probably because until now the most expensive knife in my EDC rotation is a ZT0909, and I am still in the "carry a little, admire often" stage. Once the newness wears off and I get more used to owning a CRK, I feel sure it will get carried and used much more in the future.

I carry and use either a large or small Sebenza every day and have for a number of years. They are made to be used, and not using them is almost a sin.

My EDC CRK's are mostly the plains and micarta inlays. The great thing about them is you can send it in for a spa treatment and have it come back looking brand new. I prefer the daily carry scars over the new look.

You're not doing the knife justice by not using it. They're made to be used, so go get that first personality scar on it and you'll have a sigh of relief and use your CRK for what it's meant for.
Don't worry, the safe queens will come in time.

I carry mine every day, although it gets only light use. If I have to cut open bags of concrete I reach for something else, otherwise my CR is used.

I enjoy owning the CR knives. But I have to be honest and say that out of all my folders, I still end up caryring my Spydie PM 2 more than anything. I have a large collection but I always keep going back to it. It's usually what is on my door table and what goes in my pocket when I go out. The Sebenza wowed me in terms of fit and finish but I just was never really motivated to carry them as an EDC. I don't think I would end up selling them unless I got into some financial situation where I needed quick cash or something. I enjoy collecting as much as using. IN fact I have to admit most of my knives are safe queens that I take out occasionally to look at, play around with etc..They're my 'grownup toys'. I have a few Benchmades that haven't seen the light of day in terms of use.

I pick a CRK about 90% of the time. Sometimes I will carry an arctic grey SNG because I love the grey color, but almost always a CRK. I use CRK for the messiest jobs because I know i can get them back to perfect condition.

I gave two of my brothers my ZT 0909 and 0620 this thanksgiving because they need nice knives and I knew they would use them more than me. Yardwork and weed puling is more fun with an Umnumzaan anyways!

I have and love my spyderco PM2, but I cane ever really bring myself to carry it, because i would rather carry a Sebenza, Inkosi, or Umnumzaan any given day.
Their usability and ease of maintenance are the greatest features to me, I would get bored just looking at one.

In the past year I've purchased 4 CR knives. Previously my spyderco dragonfly was my most consistent carry. Since then, I've carried my small pj insingo, small box elder, and Ti-lock every day. They have not let me down.

However, if I'm to be completely honest I did not offer my dad a ti-lock when he asked me to pry bark off our firewood for the smoke box on the grill.

I have 3 in rotation, an XM18 3.5, Spydie PM2 and a large 21. Lately my 21L is getting most of the edc time. So comfortable in the pocket and a joy to use and easy to clean up too.

My CRK's get carried and used. Some lightly used and some a bit heavier (Umnumzaan). I'll use my ZT 0301 if I know it's going to be a hard use situation (though I'm sure the Zaan can handle it).

I've seen some beautiful CR knives come through the exchange but have passed on them because I could never bring myself to use them. I bought a nice UGC from the exchange recently and was thrilled when I saw it. It was beautiful but already had a few small handling marks so I could put it in my pocket and not worry about it. Maybe in the future I'll pick up a few safe queens to fondle and admire but currently all my knives get used.

I can't argue with that!

If a Sebenza is in my pocket and something needs to be cut, I use it! Don't worry- you are not going to break it and they are fairly easy to sharpen:thumbup:

Honestly I do use my CRs l, I just find that when I do use them I am abit more gentle. I'm left handed so my right handed 21 does not get into action fast enough to be used for self defense. My new inkosi on the other hand has dual thumb studs so it gets carried more. I can use the inkosi for self defense so it gets carried more. I would carry the 21 more if I could press it into a SD role more readily. I would hate to use a CR for SD though. I would hate to have to ditch the knife. Or have the cops take it for evidence.

Doesn't matter how dirty it'll be getting. As long as it won't damage it I'll be using it. If I'm worried about damage I'll grab my box cutter.
