My main one-hand opening EDC for the past 13 months has been my large plain-jane Insingo. I use it every day. I get far more enjoyment out of it by using it than if I were afraid to scuffing it due to its price. I'm not saying that everyone should feel the same, but it's just how I feel.
I do understand being nervous about ruining a high-end knife. Back in 2002 when I had my first CRK, a large regular Sebenza, its edge came extremely obtuse and dull out of box. I decided to reprofile it myself, using my Sharpmaker. That way I wasn't removing too much metal at a time. It took a LONG time, but I finally succeeded. That got me over my fear of messing up my CRK. That one got a lot of use and scuffs all over the handle, but I like it that way.
My 2015 Insingo came scary sharp, and its edge is ground evenly along the entire edge length, so it's very easy to tough up. Surprisingly, the handle doesn't have many scratches yet, but I'm sure they'll accumulate naturally. The end of its clip is all scratched up from when I tripped and fell during a walk last year, but that's it.
Enjoy your CRK. These knives are meant to be used, but if you enjoy it by not using it, that is fine, too. CRK knives can handle a lot, and the great thing is that they age well, too. I view the little marks that accumulate on them as giving them character.
