Do you use your favorite knife?

I know it seems like a strange question, but do you use your favorite knife
in the bush ?Or do you use something else because you are afraid to lose your favorite knife ( if you have one.) ?
I have one or two that are irreplaceable that I would never take with me,but something like an SRK or Kabar doesn't bother me a bit. A philosophical question ,only knife nuts can answer!:p

I use my favorite knife BECAUSE it's my favorite knife :D

Or maybe... It's my favorite knife because I use it. I really don't know :)
 
I edc'ed my most recent favorite knife (spyderco d2 para) from the day i got it a few months ago to just this week. Only reason it came out of my pocket is i bent the clip and haven't had enough time to bend it back yet. As soon as i do it goes right back into the pocket.
 
My RC-3 is my current favorite... and heck yeah! I use it every chance I get. The knife is rock solid. :)
 
I look at the situation I'm going into.Then I look to my knife collection and see what I have.Then I pick the best tool for the job from there.I have a core collection of about 12 knives of all types of materials.I keep my options open.
 
I don't worry about losing knives so that would not prevent me from taking out my favorites. If I'm headed into the woods I take whatever knife I think will best suite my needs rather than the knife that is my favorite.
 
Good strategy. When faced with the same situation again, I usually use what worked well last time. But I like to "field test" others once in a while, so I'll throw them in my knife bag.

my favorite folder is probably my hinderer xm18.

i carry it sometimes on duty, where there is a higher than average risk ill lose it.
 
I don't really have a favourite knife, but I carry my Victorinox Soldier often and I use it a lot, as I do with all my knives. At work, at home and when I go camping or hiking. I never lost it and I don't worry much about losing it, it is a cheap knife.
 
My favourite 'small/medium-sized' knives are my Fällkniven F1 and Bradley Alias. I use both of them frequently. My 'favourite' choppers from Busse and Fehrman have hardly been tested as I use axes for heavier tasks.
 
Sure I do. This Brian Goode Companion goes through deer like butter and is virtually irreplacable considering Brian's wait time and he made it with some very nice Ironwood. I love this knife and never go into the woods without it. I am very conscious to always put it in its sheath when not in use, though.;)

Yuppers, I use my favorite knives. I get the greatest pleasure out of USING them.
 
Use my favs all the time. I do not own a custom knife - for that very reason. I do not want the price and coolness factor to deter me from using it.

I will only buy a knife that I am not afraid to use.
 
Yup, of course I use my favorite knife/knives. It wouldn' t be my favorite if I wouldn' t use it:)
 
My current "favorite" is a Randall 12-8 in sterling silver and stag that's easily worth $1,000. No, it doesn't see much time in the bush, but I will wear it on my belt sometimes.

I have lots of other knives that are more suited to hard use.
