do you use your Randall made knife ???

I have three and none of them have been used. That was not my intent when I purchased them, but that is the way it worked out. I keep getting other knives and using the Randall's just doesnn't seem important to me any more.

regularly, I've only had it about a month--got it with no patina. I has some here, and more since:

My current one is still unused(hopefully not for too long) but in the past I have used many of them. When you get one out and give it some use, you start to understand why Randall knives have been around so long.

I have a Model 12 that I use all the time. Mostly as a comparative benchmark of what raw edge holding performance should be...

It actually saves wear on my Colin Cox, Lile, and other knives with comparable slicing/chopping abilities.

The thin edge makes it magical, as with the Cox.

It is very sound in symmetry and edge centering, but the level of finish is rather rough, so I don't understand why they would be preserved from use for cosmetic reasons. I had a 14 Cerakoated to look less "rough"... My 18 wasn't even straight...

Definitely users.

I have a model 8-4 with a beautiful stag handle that I use every chance I get, but I also have a model 1-8 with stacked leather that has never been used for anything...and probably never will. I've gotta say, if the need ever arose to use the model 1, I would do so with no apprehension whatsoever about whether or not it was up to the task, I just have so many other knives, that cost so much less and work quite well I just don't feel the need to with this one.

I've got an Esee Izula II that I don't use. I got because I like the Izula, but wanted handle scales. I have a few neck knives that I carry, but the handle scales make it too thick for neck carry. I could take them off, but that kind of defeats the purpose of, you know, buying a knife with scales. Just a poorly thought out purchase. Beautiful knife, though.

And what does that have to do with Randalls?
