Do You?

Knife goes in pocket. Box goes in trash. No problem.

 WHAT ?? you throw away boxes without cutting them into little pieces first  :barf:

the box is supposed to be the knifes first meal, like when insect larvae eat their own egg shells after hatching :D

I keep the boxes for resale and so I have a place to put them. I don't want knives knocking against each other in my drawer so I put them away in their boxes when I'm not using them.

Good idea! I'll try it next time.

I don't resale knives. I'm too much of a hoarder.:D
MINE! MINE! MINE!:D

Same here.

Me three......

I used to keep them but after while there's just no space for a hundred and something boxes. So now I just chuck them first thing.

The only boxes I've kept are the ones for the Sebenzas.

I usually keep them. I sell/trade too often, and it's kinda nice to be able to send off the whole package just about like I got it.

Looks like the majority view is one of retention.

I liked the insect larvae analogy a lot!

A lot of my boxes are already rather crap after being mauled by the post-office so that's why I don't keep too many. I'm a 'keeper' of knives rather than a 'collector' their future resale value has no interest for me.

Thanks for your posts!
