Do your knives help you RELAX?

Whenever I'm feeling a little stressed, flicking open my AFCK a couple times always calms me down.

Opening and closing, sharpening and polishing all work for me. Great relaxers.

Gotta pay attention when sharpening and polishing though. If I don't I always get a reminder!

Yes indeed, playing with balisongs most of all; its a shame that i can't do it everywhere though *g*

opening, nail cleaning, throwing, sharpening, finding the odd use for, etc. ad infinatium, ad nausea... in a word yes.

cleaning and polishing...just looking at them sometimes.....it's relaxing and puts me in the stress-free zone...

Ur...you may find this offensive. A friend called my habbit of opening and closing folders when under stress a "masturbatory" act..... I don't know what to respond to her remark, really. any suggestion?

Hmm, I guess I'd ask whether she likes to watch and whether it makes her horny

I would take this as a positive sign,
buy her dinner and a bottle of wine.
Home @ midnight you've got it made,
just don't forget to sheath your blade!

have a"knife"day

Hi Folks!

My knives have a distinct way to help me to relax: they send me on phantasy travels.

Every knife of my collection stimulates my phantasy in its special direction. If I find my stockmans knife in my pocket, I´am soon on the Great Plains or in the Shennandoa Valley. One of my french knifes sends the taste of cheese, baguette and red wine on my tongue.

These dreams often kept my eyes open in boring meetings.

Sweet dreams and a sharp edge!

Opening and closing my knives (especially my Vaquero Grande) is a calming thing. Sometimes when it is inappropriate to whip out my big ol' knife, I just let my hand rest on it in my pocket, and it is pretty soothing. Even just havinf a knife is somewaht reassuring, empowering if you like.

I think it must be some primitive instinct to be armed, like a grown-ups security blanket.

Boys, arent these fast opening knives, autos and non autos alike, the greatest inventions in Knifedom history? I have been flicking my new M-16 like crazy!

I like to polish/sharpen/play with my knives when I watch TV. Usually I'll have a different theme every night. Sometimes the theme is traditional slip joint night. Other nights it is tactical folder or fixed blade night. My wife keeps her distance on balisong night. I guess I remind her too much of Edward Scissorhands!
