DoAll Portable hardness tester?

I just purchased a DoAll model 4 4 portable hardness tester. I've read several times on BF that one should stick with benchtop testers, but I don't have the budget for one and this DoAll looks like an older quality unit that reads up to 150 kg. It looks much more solidly built than other portable testers I've seen for sale and the kit appears to be complete (diamond penetrator included). At $250.00 w/ free shipping I couldn't resist.

Anyone have experience with this brand/make?
