Atlantis I. I just got it and wow, this thing has a big chunky frame lock. It is almost hard to unlock it. Not very smooth on the action but a good price for this quality.

What do you think, keep it or sell it?
Enjoy!

Jaiden - thanks for posting the picture, I only ever see his Bali's (not that I'm complaining!!) and like to hear about his folders. I keep waffling on ordering a prometheus, they seem very cool, but then I think what a larger fraction of another balisong that is. :)

I'd say keep it maybe it'll smooth out after a little break in period. Since his balisongs are so smooth, I'm curious that his folders wouldn't be.

Jaiden, some framelock makers design their knives to tight initially. i used to have a large Darrell Ralph Apogee and it was very tight at first but it gradually smoothed out with use. I suspect that your knife will do the same.

Chefget I will email you if I decide to sell.

I have to thank Dennis Bible for this one. I chose between this and an Obenauf model 2. Did I do good ?

The ergos on the handle are one of the best I ever felt. Your hand just sinks in and around it. The pearl and satin finish are top notch. The flat ground blade is my favorite. This style is hard to do because of the amount of metal taken off the blade. Not to mention razor sharp (kind of like a kitchen knife). Not much to complain about.

I said not much. There are some issues. The border of the handle seem a little sharp (just needs better finishing work done on it). The pocket clip is very weak. I wouldn't dare try to clip it, it would be gone.

These things are of no signifigance when you look at price. Very good value. I would buy another, maybe a Prometheus.

Take care.

Very nice knife. I love the shape of the blade and the flat grind. The handle looks very smooth in the picture and the lock does look very substantial.

It might be better to discuss anything about selling or trading this knife via private emails. It is frowned upon to discuss the possible selling of a knife outside of the for sale forums.

Thanks, Keith. ;)

I've got the same knife but with a different blade grind.Mine also came just a little stiff.I loosened the pivot slightly and added some oil and it was almost as smooth as a sebenza.Mine came without a clip.In my opinion pearl and clips don't match. This was a great folder for the money. The pearl looked as good as presentation grade(maybe it is).It was a pleasure dealing with Dennis Bible also.
