Just made a deal with Doc lastnight, when I realized the address. I told him I couldn't ship till I received the knife, and he agreed. He supposed to send me a confirmation number today in the NIB 875SBT. When I get the knife, I'll let you all know, since I believe his posting privledges have been removed, but I'm not sure.

Well, I got the confirmation number...so far, it's been a very pleasurable experience.

I have done a few deals with Doc and I have always got the knives as promised. He emailed me a few days ago to trade on something but I wasn't really interested in what he had to trade.

I also have had two deals with him, one a trade and one a purchase.I dont know him personally, but both deals were smooth without a hitch.

I'll add my $.02....I've had a couple of deals w/ DocBart and several communications. All have gone very well, no problems whatsoever!

We often think that when we have completed our study of "one", we know all about "two", because "one and one is two". We forget that we still have to make a study of "and".

The strength of a community is only as strong as it's weakest link.

If this person was offering $100 MT Halo II's or $100 Mayo TNT's, would you "buy" them? Would you send your money if you knew that there was a 50/50 chance that you wouldn't get what you paid for? Would you post in the GB&U if it fell thru? (Even after countless warnings!!????)

I have never dealt with DocBart, but I can read. I need not make the mistakes of others, to learn the same lessons.

Let us all support the BFC members that have dealt with Integrity!

My $.02 worth,
Michael

AR,

Just checked your post of great guys to deal with ( including the "others" list). I didn't see DocBart....

Deal with those that care for their reputations...

Good luck,
Michael

I really like what I am seeing here. What I am seeing is that people value a person's reputation more than a good/killer deal. The fact that this person is supposedly a physician makes the sting of "dishonor" all the more sharp. The idea that your reputation will follow a person no matter how many aliases are generated, has a satisfying feel to it. I'm not saying that forgiveness is not possible but the longer that a wrong is ignored, the more penance is required to make amends. At this point, in my humble opinion, to make good on his original deals is not enough. There must be recompensation for the insult of not dealing honorably.

I must have missed your posts C4.

Doc was on the "other's" list, but I removed him after people started to complain about being ripped off. For what it's worth, I received my knife from Doc, along with some free Tuff Cloth. It is entirely possible to turn a new leaf, but you never know. Their are a hand full of people here who have had a good experience with Doc, and their are a hand full who had problems receiving their knives in the past...the choice is up to the masses, and I completely support whatever decision is made, but I would deal with him again...though I may request he ship the knife before I send payment. Everyone has that right, and many work this way reguardless. Thanks for your input guys.
