I have an orange dodo sprint that is a dedicated user at work (industrial electrical), paired with my delica 4 there is nothing that cannot be cut. The delica is used when I need to cut something straight on a flat surface but the dodo makes an excellent working knife:
-I have found it exceptional for stripping the ends of large cable - double insulated xlpe etc - running the recurve around the circumference of the cable then using the tip to cut down the side and pick the insulation off without damaging the copper cores.
-Great for opening any kind of packaging, plastics soft or hard, cardboard, tape
-Very secure and ergonomic grip, can put some serious force behind a cut without fear of the knife slipping, this is due to handle design not materials used
-It is not hard to sharpen, its actually trivial using the sharpmaker and corners of the rods
-Heavy duty lock that is simple to operate with proper lubrication and pivot tension - I can flick/drop close mine one handed (lube and locktite was required)
-Small blade suitable for use in public, gets attention for the right reasons
-Fine tip is great for precise work, making delicate incisions or picking at things
-Nice and light - no added bulk in the toolbelt or pocket
-Orange is great colour for a dedicated tool, people friendly and easy to find, it gets dirty quick but dirty orange is still orange
Long story short take it out of the box and see for yourself how useful it really is !
