Wondering on how often these pop up in Black plain edge, and how much they go for. I really really want one but I need to see how much they are going for first. I would prefer to trade spyderco folders for it :)

Hey Jersey, welcome aboard. Bladeforums is a big site. If you are looking to trade something for something, it is best to post in the exchange under trading. People who want to trade look there so you get more exposure, and you don't run afoul of Jonhy Law. ;)

Well i guess the reason why i posted this thread first is because I looked on ebay and in searched for dodo (on these forums) and havent found a black plain edge for sale. I'd like to see how much they are going for before I throw up a limited edition knife. A ballpark price would be perfect

They don't seem to come up very often any more, and every time I see one, the price is higher than the time before. I think the last NIB Black PE Dodo I saw went over $150, and that has been a while. Even the more common blue ones are getting up there.

A black PE Dodo was listed on eBay last week. The seller started it off at $150, with a buy-it-now of $170. It didn't sell. When somebody starts one off with a realistic starting price, they go for a pretty good chunk of change.

Speaking of which....I need to a get another Dodo, myself!

The last retailers had them for about 80 but they are gone now so your best chances are the Exchange forums here of Ebay. Welcome to the forums and good luck!

ahhh, I was hoping to pick one up for $100ish... guess thats not going to happen. I saw a review on the youtube and the way it fit the hand made me want one. I had the chance to buy one as a FIRST knife and i didn't. I kick myself everyday for it.

if the ergonomics were what interested you perhaps the Cricket would make a good substitute?

The Dodo is a Cricket on steroids. I have a blue pe Dodo & a black se Dodo & wouldn't part with either for $150. The Dodo is more like a mini Civilian.
