Does a stripped screw void warranty on new Mili?

OK, I heard you all and will send the $5. Of course you know it was not an issue of
money( Mr Punisher):). Which negates the cheap argument. I also have had positive interactions with their customer service and I am not blaming them as stated in the OP. The warranty does in fact state $5 shipping. Something I was not aware of on warranty items. However the stripping of screws is unacceptable. Totally my fault. So is the shipping of knives with horrendous blade centering. The argument could go on forever and every side would have a valid point.

I knew I would take a beating by posting but I thought it would be a good topic of discussion. I can take the beating. BladeForums is a tough playground.

Checkbook out, stamp ready. Thanks for your help!!

I guess I would hang up on you too, just depending how you spoke to her.I am in customer service and I deal with people all the time. It's funny how people act on the phone verses in person. To me it is better to hang up on someone than to say something you might regret. It must be human nature to believe we can do something better than a professional. It must also be human nature to believe we should get something for nothing. We can all say(if we are honest) that we have all been this way before. I learned along time ago that you should never ask a man to work for nothing. How would you feel if someone asked you to work for nothing?I would gladly pay 5 bucks to have a few screws replaced that I stripped out.Have you ever tried to remove a broken screw, bolt or fastener before?Believe me it is a major pain.5 bucks almost sounds too cheap to me.I would give customer service a call back and apologize to the lady you spoke to (if you know her name) and pay the money. That would be the right thing to do.Just my opinion ,not that it matters much.
