Does Aldo/NJSB ALWAYS Update Order status?

Hi all,

I apologize if this is out of line, but I am anxious to say the least. Anyway, I ordered 5 4' sections of 52100 last tuesday the 23rd. All of it was "In Stock" according to the website. I have read several threads of people getting their steel within a week. I am in Western KY.

I just checked and it still says my order is processing, but I did not know if it could very well be on its way to me without it being updated...

How long does it usually take to get metal shipped to you all from NJSB?

Thanks,

Therron Shaw

For myself, I get used to doing things on line bouncing email back and forth, tracking etc and never using the phone. I think in the case of NJSB it's best to just call- you don't necessarily get that string of email updates, but he's been great with me when I had to change an order or whatever on the phone.
I've had orders take a couple weeks to get here, for whatever reason with the shipping carrier.

If you ordered Tuesday, and expect it in a week, I would wait until Wednesday to worry or post concerns.....or call Aldo.

My orders tend to take 2 to 3 weeks from NJSB. I have learned to plan ahead.

For me in central Texas, if I order on a Friday I get it the next Thursday. Except for the W2 this past spring. And that was totally understandable. I have learned that when doing business with Aldo...forget the website. Call him up! He is a riot to talk to! And grab a chair....you may be talking with him a while! Is there anyaldo out there?

Thank you all, I have heard so many great things about Aldo and his business! I got a KMG that came quicker than expected...and Im anxious to get to work!

I have learned patience with my online orders to Aldo. It depends on how backed up they are. I have received orders in a week and some in three weeks. Aldo is a good dude. Call him he is a hoot to talk with.

Aldo travels to events and the like as well, so when he's out and about with his steel truck of goodies, online orders can be delayed. He's good peeps though and I always buy lots of steel from him when I see him at ashokan =) Bought the last of his beafy 1075 low magnese this year =D

I find it best to use the phone whenever I order steel from NJSB or Alpha Knife Supply. It's the surest way to find out exactly what's in stock, when more/new stuff should be coming in, etc. Set aside a few minutes; you can learn a lot from those guys

Im in MI and I've had two orders from him and both took right around 2 weeks. Hold tight it will show up. good company to do with.
