Carbon fiber, fascinating!
This is good to know, glad you dug into it J F.
My CF was off center as well. I solved it by ordering another titanium slab.

Perhaps, CRK should give a warning.

Didn't read the entire thread but I will say that an off center blade on ANY CRK is completely unacceptable.
That said, all of my Reeve knives have been perfect in that respect.
I do not have any experience with the carbon fiber offerings.

I want my knives from ALL manufacturers to be centered. And they are.

I'm one of the picky ones. But all of my CRKs (10 or so) have been centered from the factory.

I'd rather carry a cheap dime store knife that is perfectly centered than a high end supersteel knife that is off center.

If you think your knives are perfectly centered, it means your calipers aren't very precise. :)

Most of my sebenzas seem a tiny bit off, maybe 0.1mm or so. Not enough to care about.

How's this for blade centering on a $30 cold steel ProLite

And I didn't even adjust the thing to get it like that. It stays there every time I close it. Just saying, if a cheap knife like this can nail it then a $400+ knife has absolutely no excuse!

A sebenza with an off centered blade is a no no. With the reputation that CRK's have gained over the years with having the tightest tolerances and best fit n finish a Sebenza with an off centered blade is like a black sheep. Those saying its a user and the blade is not touching than who cares? Well you can get an other user knife for a fraction of the price. We buy Sebenzas for the fact of their stellar reputation and we kind of expect everything is good to go with them out of the box.

From a company that gets multiple awards for excellence in manufacturing etc, I would expect that to reflect on their product. Off centre blade is a major issue thus would be unacceptable. I have only 2 CRKs which I have bought new and both were flawless (at least to my eyes). I will still purchase CRKs so long as the quality of finish is as per the 2 speciments that I currently own.
