i came across www.damascusknivesshop.com the other day and im kind of skeptical; the blades look decent, even nice at times, but the blades are really cheap, and the site itself has the feel of a cheap foreign import retailer, ive seen most of the blades on ebay as well. does anybody have any experience with these blades, are they actually Damascus blades or imitation, and is the company itself reliable?

While I definitely do not have firsthand experience with the site, a red flag for me is that many of the products have 50+ tags (like the category of knife, "hunting knife", "outdoor knife", etc) for each individual product. That usually indicates a lower quality product IMO. And I belief the rate for real damascus is something like 15$ per inch, so that too is a generic indicator of the quality of these knives.

I would avoid it. There aren't any "damascus" blades that are quality at their price point. Usually the cheapest I've seen for decent ones run 100-150+
And typically many makers will tell you what theirs is made of.

Apparently "wazirabad" is a city in Pakistan.

thanks for the info guys, i figured that it wasnt anything to get my hopes up about, but it doesnt hurt to ask right? cheers.
