I visited another pawn shop today... I have a sickness!
I saw a knife that caught my eye. I didn't know the model but I have heard of the brand.
Al Mar. After doing some research, I believe it is an Al Mar Shiva. The blade has 107/200 etched into it.
Pawn shop was asking $129. Picked it up for $100.
Do any of you have experience with this knife?
My first impressions are that it seems very well made. Looks to be VG 10 Steel. I can see a line that runs the length of the blade similar to my Falkniven.
Not a fan of the sheath. Seems to be a very loose fit with a retention snap that gets in the way.
Full tang that gets thinner on the grip area. The handle has a nice tapered coke bottle shape but is very slim for my big mitts.
It hasn't been used...at all. Looks like a safe queen.
Any info is appreciated. Not much in the way of reviews online.
