this may or may not be a valid or good question to ask - as theres is a looooooooot of debate on "blood grooves", or fullers
what are your reasons for putting it there?/what do you think it will ad to the blade?
the things ive heard that they do,
lightening the blade by removing metal, but also stiffening it by adding a second set of spines.
break the "suction" created by muscle tention and inner pressure of the body (wich may or may not exist)
allow a low pressure area for blood to drain off of the blade (so as not to weight it down when it cant immediately be cleaned off)
are any of these reasons for its being there?
just wondering, as my brother brought this up to be a short while back
very nice lookin blade...
