Everyone knows the old stories of soldiers cooking in their helmets, right? And pots are one of the harder things to pack...
Does anyone make a thin steel or aluminum hat/helmet with a removable liner for use as a cooking pot? In order to prevent it from getting too hot while being worn in the sun, a white cloth cover would be in order methinks. The ideal would be something like a "rice paddy" hat, or a British/French "Chapeau de Fer" or "Kettle Hat," but not something heavy and thick since we're not in the middle of a war zone after all.
The idea kind of struck me the other day, and yet I haven't been able to find anything like this after an hour on google. :grumpy: Does such a thing exist, or am I the only one who thinks it would be handy? :foot:
