Does anyone do regrinds anymore?!

Well I’ve been through the knife makers forums and it seems like everyone that did regrind work on folders is no longer doing it. I don’t have privileges to create a new post so I apologize to the moderators for having to ask this question here... I want to regrind and add a finger choil to my ZT0562 (similar to the XM-18) but can’t seem to find anyone that is still actively doing it. I realize I could just get the XM-18 but I’ve never modded a knife other than custom clips and scales and thought it would be cool to do the blade and support a craftsman. Anyway, point me in the right direction if you know someone!

Thanks for the shout out!

David Mary David Mary has done a few of these as long as you can the item over to Canada, where the border inspection crew loves to steal folders.

They do, but only when they can find a reason according to their statutes. They've never stolen one sent to me by a customer, because I will not do autos or balisongs, as they are illegal here, and for other knives I always have the customer tighten the pivot, which circumvents the grey area where they like to interpret flickable knives as illegal.

My regrinds are full flat/convex and as close to zero as the customer wants, with proper heat management, of course. In other words, the finished regrinds cut exceptionally well.
