Does anyone edc a douk douk?

The only thing with carbon douks is blade could be little harder so it holds edge better

Agreed, I carried the one below for over two years & it probably has the softest blade on any knife I own! But it meant it was silly easy to sharpen even though it needed it every day. It still gets into my pocket some days & is still amongst the best to carry due to it's flat design.

I hope 14c28 is heat treated well, its perfect all around steel ,that takes scary sharo edge easily and hokds it well.
So far, so good with mine. I have no way of knowing how hard it is but it appears to hold an edge through extensive use.

Edit: I found one French retailer describing it as having 50-53 HRC, which must be a mistake as mine certainly holds a better edge than my axes

Am sure it will hold edge longer than carbon version thats about 53rc....have no idea why their ht on carbon version wasnt updated to at least 56rc...its still super easy to sharpen but way better in edge holding.

Did the original Douk Douk have a blackened handle or was it in the white?
