Does anyone else have a problem using their nice 110's?

Thank You, Mr. Fisher I keep imagining that you are Bobby Fischer the chess champion. You cannot be him he died at 64 on Jan. 08, 2008.

Suzuki: you could imagine my face the time I was SHOT as a P.O. I gave that career up and went to trade school at 40 Y.O. and became a tool and diemaker and made top dollar with my new ideas. I am retired from effects do to my being shot. I've owned many firearms and from shooting I need hearing aides. I loved all .45 cal. 1911's and the one revolver that took .45 ammo inserted in a clip. that was my 2nd go to gun if in a fight that happened to be one sided, the person died that day from my or my partners bullet. I was trying to have him DROP his gun and swayed from the training and stood out with my gun in right hand as he shot me with a .38 special bullet. I took the bullet in my left hand and exited by my wrist and into my chest next to my heart and now have a pacemaker and defibrillator I have had 2 replaced and on the 3rd set. Funny bullet never touched my wrist. I was a P.O. for 20 years and a diemaker for 20 years and started at 20.

I was cleaning crappies with a 110 that was unused and doing it by a stainless sink and the knife slipped out of my hand and the very sharp tip hit the sink basin and just from that little fall the very pointed tip chipped and I learned my lesson using new knives that I want to keep without damage.Damage can happen anytime handling your one and only favorite knife. so never say never if you want to keep it pristine without tarnish on brass bolster, wax the knife with Renaissance Wax on Amazon because it does not stain. To me it is not cheap but does last a long time.

I think dropping it on the ground outside wouldn't be that bad. On concrete, it's going to scratch it up. I'd be afraid to crack the bone or antler scales. But I've found on my traditional slip joints the bone cracks with use anyway.

A few years ago I sent an older 110 to Leroy to have stag scales put on. It was only a week or so until it slipped out of my hand and bounced on the concrete driveway. I was heartbroken, it was to be a user but I didn't want it banged up. I hardly notice it now...it's on the upper portion of the front bolster.

I got into Bucks late, I had one 450 for many years but really bought the iconic knives (110, 119) in my late fifties. Then I got an abused 112 for $5 and got a spa treatment. The 112 also got a brand new sheath. So I'm trying to carry them enough to have honest wear before I die! I'd never purposely age them. My office job doesn't require a belt knife so they are weekend warriors. When my grandkids get them I want them to look used. Right now they all look very new.
