Does anyone else like silver twill more than Carbon fiber?

I just think it looks nicer. But it's a bit underrepresented in knife makers...

Any color but black is more interesting to me. I'm a big fan of colored carbon fiber, silver twill G-10 is really nice, and on the sosak website Tim has some really cool "texalium" carbon fiber in some cool colors.
 
i like silver twill too.

i just finished a knife with it:

after my experience with it. i find it a tad softer than carbon fiber.



sorry to hijack but,
does any body know where to get some of this colored texalium or colored carbon fiber or whatever? for knife scales of course. (i dont know if the pieces on sosak are going to be big enough.)
i just saw blue yellow and red and green. im all starry eyed now!
 
I find it very soft and easy to work, but I HATE the stuff because it makes me itch like ive been working with insulation all day. I would NOT want to breathe this stuff in. It does, however, polish up just like glass and looks great. i wish i could find it in thicker dimensions than ive been able, though.....
 
I think its hideous. Reminds me of old ladies in big gaudy coats at a Las Vegas Casino. :p
 
I love it. In fact I had a Emerson CQC8 modified to shorten the handle and changed the slabs to textured twill. The picture shows just how much of the handle was removed. BTW the work was done by Larry Davidson. Nice man who does great work.

I like that^^^ I had the 705-401, the silver twill looked okay if not a little bland. I always seems to look better when accented with other color such as above.
 
It is a bit tricky to photograph,though.

I don't know if I like it better than carbon fiber but i like it a lot!

I agree with the anything but black comment but CF is cool stuff!
 
I thought it was the best thing going for the 210, too bad I didn't like the knife much because the scales were gorgeous.
 
I think it's cool as hell. Thankfully, I have two square feet of .125 waiting for me at a buddy's house :) I can't wait to use it on something.
