Nice photos of a very nice knife, that even better is being used. I spent a year at Galena Ak, just down river from Ruby. Loved the winter and fall, hated summer and the blood sucking hawks (o.k, mosquitos) that dined on me in their thousands.
Funny you should say that, this spring was the 100 year flood in the area, when it went down it left mosquito breeding ponds everywhere, the people say it was the worst year in memory, all the dogs in the village were all swollen from the bites and the people couldn't do anything outside. Fortunately for us they were about gone when we got there.
