Does anyone have a better 2 knife EDC rotation?

Not sure what you're getting at. Redundant. In fact, your two knives are just about worthless to me until I get home to the ranch, and then they're fancy boy knives, but they'll work. I could use the Para 2, the Grip sucks. I carry knives for a purpose.

This site is based on fancy boy knives.

i own 10 acres of timber/pasture plus a BIG garden, and id have no problem replacing my usual folders i carry when there with one of my "pretty" Benchmades or Spydercos....im sure theyd perform just as well for chores as my typical "farm knives", but personally id rather put a cheaper knife to work....what are you willing to lose, a cheaper but well made knife or a higher dollar well made knife?

can't beat these son :D

That's funny but mostly true. The thing is that we don't get enthusiastic about cheap working knives. If I was working on a farm I would want a good knife but probably not one of my fancy boy knives. I used to work as a mechanic, if I was doing that now I don't know what knife I would use. I've seen photos here of some mechanics carrying spyderco sprints. I don't think I could do that.

I usually do the large folder and smaller multitool. Like a ZT200 and a SAK cadet, or a Spyderco Manix XL and a leatherman Juice.

My normal rotation is my BM Griptillian in my front right pocket with a Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite in my right back pocket. Always got the mini tuff on me in case I carry the recon 1 or the spartan :D

I am a mechanic and I don't have crazy expensive knives, but if I did I would not carry them at work. I carry a Delica 4 FFG vg10 or my skyline (it has been sent in for service), sometimes carry PM2 (only use when hands are clean though), but never carry caly3 CF ZDP189 at work.

My favorite two knives to carry together is my Vic small Tinker and my XL CS Voyager (yeah, and an Alox Bantam in the wallet!). I don't have enough other knives that I like (and then mostly only SAKs) to have 2 to alternate between.

my work combo..never fails..

please forgive me manowar669 for carrying a mini grip..lol

I don't have the mini grip, but have numerous full-size Ritter and benchmade grips and a para2 in the rotation. Had a Hinderer in the rotation for a very short time, but just couldn't justify the expense in my mind(it's a truly great knife, but I prefer Ritters , ZT 550s and Striders). I normally carry one of the above with a Kershaw Scallion(damascus) and have ready access to a Swiss Army Tool when I'm out in the field/daily work. At home, I always have a smaller fixed blade(Marcus Lin Sharpened Prybar or something like it) coupled with one of my user/beater Benchmades or a Blackhawk Pointman.

CRK Large Sebenza 21, and Spyderco Chaparral.
"Fancy Girl" knives? Probably. Do they actually see use and do I carry them for a purpose? Yes!
So what if someone likes expensive high dollar knives? Who is to say that we don't carry our expensive knives for a purpose?
I prefer to carry my expensive Sebenza and use it and appreciate it rather than carry a $20 knife. Different preferences for everyone.

I believe the OP has the two knives on rotation, not carrying them at the same time. Perhaps you should post less and read more.
Anyway OP, good choice! The Ritter Grip and Para 2 are in my daily rotation as well!

My apologies to the OP, I didn't realize it was a rotation. Hence the redundancy comment. As far a the Grip comment, that stands. I had a D2 version a few years ago and gave it away, since the large sharpening choil was a bother. Spyercos are almost all good though. Sal knows how to build a knife to work.

I dont have any pictures at the moment as all but one of my EDCs are brand new and my camera is currently not working. For work I have to carry small knives, I go to work with a tie on so they only cut cardboard, paper, rope, and some thin plastic ties (not zipties). But outside of work I EDC two different knives.

Work EDCs: Benchmade Mini Bone Collector & Zero Tolerance 350 Stone Washed
Casual EDCs: Full Size Benchmade Griptilian 550HG & Zero Tolerance 200 DLC

And yes, I carry each pair together... I just rotate which pair Im wearing at the time.

Wow, I bet you're a lot of fun at parties.

i enjoy using an opinel 8 or a mora companion just as much as some of my other knives costing much more. a good knife is a good knife.

here's two pics for you ;)

in before someone posts a cf sv90 para2 and a 3 inch hinderer xm18... :D

but in all seriousness, I love both of these knives. It has satisfied my knife itch (for the most part), and that is hard to do. Post some pictures of your favorite EDC knife rotation!

those are two excellent EDC choices
