I just found through doing a search on this forum and looking at their catalog that there's a new Spyderco Ladybug for 2007(MSRP $35).According to the catalog, the ladybug has been upgraded it's blade is now VG-10:thumbup: NOT AUS-6 but also thicker:thumbup:,blade is jimped behind the spyde hole:thumbup:,it also has a larger(9MM) Spyderco hole:thumbup:, a david boye dent:thumbup:,and FRN handles.

Before this I was actually consider buying a boker Zeta with a Cera-Titan blade which cost 3x more(msrp $105).But now I 'm going to buy the Ladybug.

I have one on my keychain right now, I'm very happy with it.
You won't be disappointed, this blade is perfect for anything that doesn't need a 3"+ blade.

I usually have a Ladybug3 with me. It is a synthesis of the Ladybug and the Jester. It has the features mentioned by Razorburn, but the blade is not thicker.

As Mr. Glesser said the new Ladybug 3 is the perfect fusion of the old Jester and Ladybug models. I think you will be happy with the 3, razorburn. I really like the larger opening hole.

Thanks Mr. Glesser for making a lot of great small knives with big cutting power.

I still really like my Ladybug 2 though - the one with the 'rescue' style blade. Does anyone know if it is AUS-6 like the other Ladybugs or is it ATS-55? I had heard somewhere that it was ATS-55.

I was happily surprised by the new Ladybug. I didn't think it could get better after the Jester. That new tip is great!

I have a Ladybug 2 that I used to carry years ago. I carried it for quite awhile, too. I believe it was AUS-6 blade steel. That blade never rusted, but a few of the ATS-55 blades I had would rust very easily just from being in my pocket.

I'd like a PE Ladybug 3, but I've become too attached to my old red original Ladybug on my keyring and would feel kinda bad taking it off.

I must be losing my Mojo, because this is the first I've heard of the Ladybug 3. I think I must get one. The Ladybug is on the Powernoodle Top 5 list.

Sorry,Sal,When I mention that the blade is thicker, I was just quoting what was printed in the 2007 Spyderco Catalog," Improved blade is thicker from tip to heel with added jimping behind the enlarged 9mm Spyderco Round Hole"

Also does the ladybug come in any other colour besides black and is the blade marked VG-10.
