Does anyone have some in-hand shots of the Manix?

nice pics, nice knife, sounds great. great, now i want a Manix too.... thanks alot guys! :grumpy:

i just held the manix today, found a shop that stocked every damn knife under the sun (recon-1, tarzana, CA). they even had surefire, strider, microtech, CRK, etc, etc -- the entire lines of each brand, even lots of discontinued models. the manix stood out amongst the absolute best folders in there. one can make a case that it's one of the best knives ever, at any price. it's just an elegant, simple, brute of a knife. the handle feels better/more ergonomically correct than anything i've held, & i love the beefy blade as well. it really makes all other folders seem to vanish from my field of vision at the moment.

Same here (although I do have a Caly Jr on order). What do they call it in the electronics business? A category killer - A bit like the Ipod, something that just dominates it's niche.

I reckon Eric Glesser used some Davinci code style sacred geometry mojo when designing the big M - it just feels right for me in a way that no other folder has.

Here's another pic, although not in hand..... :D

The Manix has altered my paradigm about what an EDC is (no less :D ) I used to think that mega folders were a chairborne commando's fantasy but I've found the Manix usefull (particularly the broad blade) in ways that I haven't with other folders.

Example? Standing up on the road the other day having a yarn with the postwoman (her arrival is a major event in the day here). She says that I need to get some of the overgrown bushes cut back as it's creating difficulties accessing my mailbox. As we are talking, out comes the Manix and chop, chop, chop, through 1/4 to 1/2 inch gum tree boughs - problem solved and ardous walk to the shed and back for the right tools avoided. Postwoman drives away, looking slightly freaked. Ahh sometimes I take the 'single male living alone in the bush with lots of weapons' a little far - but it's a good knife the Manix.
this is siggy material right here.

I didn't want a Manix because it was just too big. Three inches is is about my limit on usefullness. Lil't, Para, Calypso Jr, Native are more my style. I also have a Military, which I like and is a great knife, but is still like new.

Reading and seeing this thread however, is turning me to the larger side again. I think I may just have to get one. I have from the start, liked the blade shape, "leaf" shape? How is that extreme curve at the butt end of the handle? Is it comfortable?

Have pitty on my wallet!

now that i can finally speak from experience, it's surprisingly light for its size, and the handle seems molded for the hand; it's just about perfect for me. the butt curve contributes to the secure, comfy feel. my wallet is currently flinching in fear.
