Does anyone have the Work Sharp 2000 with the Knife Sharpening system? Do you like it

Folderguy, you have had some heavy hitters in terms of sharpening skill and knowledge chime in, try listening to them instead of the guy trying to sell you the machine. EDGE PRO and its over. Also as a Man and a knife enthusiasts you need to learn how to sharpen free hand, it is one of lifes blessings. Yes it takes time but once you master it makes you feel, well good.

Thanks, MikeC! I can tell they're heavy hitters! And I appreciate the assistance. I can sharpen free hand, not a problem. Been doing it for years, and recently improved my sharpening skills, thanks to some advice of forum members. My blades are scary, wicked sharp. Especially after stropping them a bit. Sheesh... I think I could SHAVE with them... not my arm hairs, but whiskers... Not planning on doing that anytime soon though; one slip can be pretty messy!

And snagging a pic of my cheek or chin gushing blood to post on here is not my idea of a good time!! :D

Thanks again. And yes, bringing an edge to the hair popping sharpness stage is one of life's blessings...

i'm sure you'll like the wheels and what they can do. i had a small skinner i made that a buddy was checking out. he shaves his head and was amazed at how smooth his arm was after shaving it with the knife. he wanted to shave his head but i didnt want to take a chance on the shave cream staining the carbon steel blade or him cutting his head.
i did clean up and sharpen an old straight razor for a buddy who shaved his face for the first time with a straight razor. he said he never cut his face and had a cleaner shave compared to a safety razor.

Thanks again for all the help with the paper wheels. Definitely the way to go. Just sent you a PM. Looking forward to honin' the blades!

Just from the way he came in with disrespect to those who support this forum and starting Spamming, I would not patronize them. For me there are too many honest people in the business to patronize the ones who spam without ethics.
