Does anyone know about E. Lee knives?

Hello Group, at an antique show I recently purchased a knife signed E. LEE on the blade, and numbered on the underside of the tang. The knife is a fixed-blade, Loveless-style drop point hunter with a tapered tang and blonde micarta handle scales, and appears to be very well made. Can anyone tell me about this maker? Thus far, I have not found any information about him.
