I was just curious about a knife I recently recieved in the store I work at.
Its the New Calypso Jr. with ZDP-189/ 420 steel.
I can't seem to find it on Spyderco's website and Have been told by some people that its a dealer exclusive, but I've found it online a lot a places.
I'm usally up on anything and everything spyderco, but this one must have jumped by me.
Just curious on the story on this knife if anyone knows.

It's a distributor exclusive, so any dealers that purchase from that distributor have access to the knife.

Good to know. Yeah, Moteng is my distributer. So any idea on how limited it is? Cuz I'm actually tempted to order myself one out of my store at my discount if we don't sell the one we have. If its limited, then I might just want to snag it. Anyways thanks for the info.

It is limited in that it will only be made as long as Moteng keeps ordering from Spyderco. One can assume that if it sells poorly, Moteng will not be ordering more. I'm guessing there are at least 600-1200 in the wilds, as 600 is the usual # for a sprint and 1200 is the usual number for a full run.

Thanks. Good to know. For now I'm going oogle it everyday when I come into work. I'd really love to test ZDP's edge retention. Anybody have any experence with any Spyderco ZDP?
