I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this guy. I arranged a trade with him last week and have yet to get a response from him. I emailed Sam 2 or 3 days ago asking about the shipping details on the knives he was trading me and am still waiting for a response. He originally told me he shipped priority last Saturday, I shipped priority last Friday afternoon. I know that the box should have reached me by now, it's been almost a week. I'm getting a little worried. I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows anything about him and could tell me. His email is: graphical_paradox@sbcglobal.net and he lives in Florissant, MO. Does anyone know anything or recognize this email? I think the f***er ripped me off. Still hasn't replied to my 3 emails. If anyone EVER gets an email from this guy, DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM. He seems totally legit, but he get's you to ship your knife to trade, and gives you a great description of what he's got (and a very fair trade) but doesn't ship his knives and comes up on yours.

By the way, does anyone have any suggestion of something I could do about this?

If you browse around this forum a bit you'll see priority shipping often turns out to take more than a week, and people are often out of touch for a few days, too. Don't panic.
 
Thanks for the reassurance Cougar Allen but as it usually does, my gut feeling proved right in the fact that something was wrong. The guy lied about shipping the knives he agreed to trade and his MOTHER sent my knife back to me last monday via priority (which I have yet to recieve) and tried scolding me for trading knives with her 16 year old kid. I was lied to by this kid and was falsely put under the impression that the person I was dealing with was at LEAST over the age of 18 b/c he gave me ebay references in which he sold airsoft/bb guns (which turned out to be his mothers account) to assure me that he was scrupulous. So far I've gotten screwed on shipping, and might have gotten screwed on my knife since I don't have it yet. The fishy thing about the knife being returned to me was that the mother said it was shipped last monday, and that it should reach me in 7-9 days which is a load since it is advertised as less. I'm VERY irked. If anyone gets any offers from the above mentioned person I IMPLORE YOU! By all means do not deal with him, not only is he underage and lies about it, but he has an utter lack of honesty and scruples.

By the way, I just recieved that info I just disclosed about the shipping and mother thing today. Just a SLIGHT lag in communication
 
He isn't a member here, is he? We don't have any Samhein Paradox or Samhain Paradox, but there are a lot of other possible alternate spellings I haven't searched for....
 
I believe he is. He found the knife I had up for trade through the blade forums but he emailed me directly. I had posted my email address on the trade post I had up because I originally put the knife up when the forums was having trouble with the email system. I don't know what his BF name is, but maybe you can find out with his real name or email address in the registry?
 
Haha, I actually thought you were the culprit.........until I searched your name and saw you were an upstanding member. I was also given your email address by another member to check against the ones used by the guy and it was different. From the start, it was quite obviously not you. You have nothing to worry about.

Paddling_man: Thank you very much for the offer, it's much appreciated. If you ever have any problems with anyone in the San Diego area just let me know and I'll help you out! I just got home from work about an hour ago to find that it arrived in the mail-IN A BUBBLE ENVELOPE OF ALL THINGS! I make sure to pack EVERYTHING very well in a BOX......anyone I've ever dealt with can verify that. I'm just glad it wasn't damaged at all. Being a nice knife though and also being someone elses property.....I'd definitely remove my shoe and throw it at this person's head without any hesitation if I ever see them :0) at least I'm only out for the shipping. 10 bucks.
 
I'm glad you got it back. It's not exactly the best end of town. Oh, we have worse. Much worse. If it's any indication, the school system lost their accreditation in that municipality some time ago.
 
Hey, at least the boy's mother did the right thing. I think at this point I'd be more relieved than irked, by far.
 
Haha, I'm definitely relieved! Too bad the kid didn't learn a thing or 2 about being honest from his mother. Might not be getting that great of an education either :0) I pity the foo that he does eventually rip off though. I hope you guys memorize his info so you know who it is if he ever DOES contact you.
