Yes I have 2 of them both new. My question does anyone make a heavy thick bladed, flat ground custom? Full tang with nice handle. I would like a version of that knife in ' beefed up" with good steel.
It has to be very close to the Cold Steel shape of their blade.
Sure send it. ThanksIt's quite a common shape .... there are several makers on BF that come to mind. Budget should be around 250 - 350$. Let me know if you want a pointer by PM.
Less than a grand.Dozens of makers could do this for you. I would suggest posting your request in the Custom and Handmade Knives sub-forum. I am certain that someone on this forum could make what you asking, for a "reasonable" price.![]()
Less than a grand.
Yes, but I want something specific. I know it won't be that much. I just really like that blade and wish it was more substantial. You could probably find someone that could make you 2 or 3 of this style knife for a grand.
Post in the sub-forum I indicated above.![]()
Looks a lot like a Spartan Harsey.I know this might seem odd but it is one of my all time favorite blade shapes. Similar, is my all time favorite folder the original LONE WOLF LC14800 T3 Ranger

It's a Harsey T3 Ranger, good eye it's his design.Looks a lot like a Spartan Harsey.
Why? I was involved in designing the Long Hunter and the goal was to recreate something similar to what the long hunters of Kentucky would have actually carried in the wilderness of that day. The steel in those is Carbon V, so there should be no complaint about that.Yes, but I want something specific. I know it won't be that much. There isn't any complaint I own 2 brand new originals, I just want a HEAVY Copy sort of, something more substantial. I love the blade.. The long hunter I started this thread about is the COLD STEEL 36PS it was 4116 Krupp and sold for under $30 when they were available. They have been discontinued for quite a few years. Why? I was involved in designing the Long Hunter and the goal was to recreate something similar to what the long hunters of Kentucky would have actually carried in the wilderness of that day. The steel in those is Carbon V, so there should be no complaint about that.
That's because it's not a great picture and hard to see what's on the blade.I am surprised no one noticed whats on the blade. When I was a LONE WOLF dealer I was offered this knife and asked not to sell it. It's a commemorative made for a Air Force test pilot/astronaut.
It was right before they sold the company to Benchmade.
