I would never personally buy a knife sight unseen from anyone but it does have my curiosity up. Jason Hanson - former CIA guy who pushes out a lot of email everyday selling his books and his training seems like a good patriotic guy but I do see some of his items as being cheaply made and overpriced. His books are a great deal though. However he has been pushing this 'Mystery knife for awhile and I'm curious if anyone has bought it or knows what it is. He's got over a half million subscribers to his email and has recently started doing some good youtube videos. Apparently over 1500 people have bought this mystery knife so if anyone here has one please do a show and tell even though we might laugh at you for buying this unseen ;)

I’m on his mailing list because I made the mistake of buying one of his books years ago. I’m always struck at how ridiculous his emails are. It’s like he is writing at a 3rd grade level for the middle-aged Walter Mitty crowd. At first I thought the was kidding, like doing a parody of a “super secret agent” (yes, he’s actually used that term). Super duper secret mystery knife? Lol, I think I’ll pass 🤦‍♂️

Sigh...

I don't know how many of you have actually dealt with them...but I have.

They're batting about .500 with me...if I'm feeling generous.

Also, most of 'em wouldn't know one end of a knife from another.

Uh-oh. Who's that knocking at my door...be right...

It's probably this one.

Looks like you can go to any gas station with a knife display and pick up something similar. I mean it wouldn’t be as Jason Bourne of a man to do so I reckon. I’m assuming it’s the top left in the photo IMG_2332.png

Trying to be pragmatic and not commenting on the quality and so many entertaining posts (thanks, good reading 😂 ),
from SD standpoint, the recurve of the blade in those phone pictures, and the fingerchoil of the handle makes some sense to me.
But R.J. Martin thought about it, I think long before this guy... Much better design for stabbing and pressing down or up IMO.
If I was able to get another one of this particular model, I'd wave it and will live in my pockets permanently, so much I love the design...
It's unbelievable how great knifemakers can put few simple and well thought elements together, in order to achieve a special purpose of a knife
even when we talk about production and not the real, custom pieces...

Mostly bogus with just enough substance to gain traction .
