I am an US Infantry veteran and Infantry history buff, and I also wanted an a modern, useable high quality trench style knife that Grunts have carried and still do to this day, but overtime I reach out to a maker, they are no longer making them. Any info or leads would be great! Thank you.

yes sir, the full knuckle duster style of WW1 Grunts had.

What is your intended purpose?

'Knuckle duster trench knife' and 'useable' rarely go hand in hand.

Whilst I appreciate the history of the M1918 MK1, its not really a practical tool for modern man.

Its looks good on the wall though and if you like the MK1 ...or one of its ilk..., then go for it.

I appreciate the historical interest, and a long those lines, I recommend one of the Kabar Ek versions for a modern trench knife, not a knuckle duster, but still historical interest, model 3? I have wanted to try the new Model 5 Bowie.

I know it would be expensive, but what about a D-guard type Bowie?
