Most knife enthusiasts claim that the all-mighty Sebenza is the holy grail of EDC folders. And maybe it is.

But maybe it's not. Is there anyone who is not a big fan of the Sebenza ?

I do not own one. But perhaps one day I will.

I don't really find it worth the price. It's cool in its simplicity, but the warranty and the way most people baby them doesn't inspire me, nor does the whole "breaking in period" bollocks. If I buy a finely tuned, "perfect fit and finish" semi custom, I expect it to already be smooth and exact. I've never had to break in a Spyderco, Benchmade, or Kershaw. Simple as that. And no one tells me I can't flick them open or the warranty will be voided.

I think they're nice in that they offer premium materials, a great warranty and (in my opinion) a simple and timeless design. Makes for a great carry in finer environments. I personally wouldn't pay over 300 for them, but I've seen deals come and go for a little less than that for which I think is an appropriate price. But for a knife to be my grail, I'd place that kind of title on a true custom.

Love is a pretty strong emotion reserved for some of my other knives. I think they're ok.

There is nothing particularly special about the Sebenza, but that doesn't stop me from wanting one. That being said, the Umnumzaan is better IMO.

The 'benza is not just a knife, it's a lifestyle...

I don't think my 25 is the Holy Grail
But I do think a knife enthusiast should definitely give the Sebenza a chance sometime
Great knives. Feel great, look great.

I don't. The quality is obvious, but the knife just doesn't do anything for me. If I were rich, I might pick up a small Insingo micarta; I love the looks, I love the blade shape, but even then, it's still a framelock, and I don't like framelocks. Just how I drool over the ZT 777, but probably wouldn't buy one even if I could afford it.

If I had to pick a "grail", it'd be a BM 941-81. But my 940Ti-01 will do fine until that day miraculously comes.

To be honest the looks of the Sebenza bore me. It's just so blah. And I can't blow $485 on a blah looking knife.

I respect the Sebenza. I just don't have any desire to own one at the moment.

i'm sure it's everything in a knife and than some but i have no need to buy one especially in that price range. it won't make me any happier.

I am more impressed by my Caly 3 CF than my inlay small 21. The Sebenza is very nice in execution but pretty ordinary in design.

I found the Sebenza to be absolutely... underwhelming. I handled one and was pretty saddened. I hear all the time that the Sebenza is the best knife ever, but I find my ZT 550 to be better. The tight tolerances don't excuse a knife that is otherwise not that special. The blade having a barely noticeable wiggle or slightly off grinds are a perfectly acceptable cost of half the price for (in my opinion) more knife.

A fine knife by any measure. But I don't love it. I don't even really like it all that much. Figured that out the hard way. Wasn't too costly a lesson in the end, thankfully.

Frankly, I've pretty much soured on most boutique knives.

Great design, Good materials, and the price is dead on as far as i'm concerned because of the consistent quality and tolerance of the machining.

That being said, I don't like them and I think the whole "sebenza guy" air of importance is a bit irritating..... Nothing wrong with them, just not my cup of tea.

I'm glad sooo many people have met their grail knife in the sebenza, but I hope I never meet my grail....... Maybe some day if a Tony Bose economy line existed...

I don't have one and I don't want one. Actually there are aspects of the styling that don't appeal to me.

I've never heard anything bad about the knife and I have no reason to believe that it would be even possible to find anything wrong with them.
