I never understood the demand for a wood-scaled liner lock. Isn't there a significant portion of wood scale on the lock side that doesn't have the steel reinforcement because of the method of liner locks pulling away from the scale while the blade is opened?
I can see this as not being an issue for most tactical liner lock knives, since most of them are G-10 scaled, and quite tough. But a 1/16" (?)wood-scaled knife with a liner lock would seem quite vulnerable on the locking side, prone to cracking under pressure. No?
