I mean it looks cool and all but i cant imagine carrying that thing around...
 
At 9" long and nearly 3 lbs. I seriously doubt anyone has ever carried one of those things for anything other than shock value. (not to mention the $1000 dollar price tag)
 
Such knives are not for carrying. They are sometimes a show piece, sometimes made by companies and makers to show off their capabilities, they are for collectors, they are sometimes sales samples. But they're not for carrying.
 
Is that a antenna I see? What the heck is that for?

EDIT My GF just pointed out that's probably a magnet but I'm using a iPhone so who knows.
 
I EDC two of them just in case I lose/break one.

I wonder if that thing comes with a handle on the far end where we can't see. They don't make pockets big or strong enough to carry those...
 
Wenger GIANT Swiss Army Knife. Or, the "Giant." I was seeing prices nearly $1K several months ago but now I'm seeing £344.97 on Amazon.UK
 
Don't we all carry backpacks or BOBs? What's the big deal about slipping a little ol' Swiss Army Knife into it?

I carry mine as a neck knife. ;)

I do keep a Swiss Champ XLT in my backpacks though, the Workchamp XL is also a cool one. Its still pretty large but its just so darn nifty and a great convo piece. I dont know how many times people have asked me....how many darned things does that thing have in it:D
 
I have a Swisschamp also and although it's a little heavy in the pocket I carry it quite a bit. Lots of useful tools.
 
No but I'd like to have one for a conversation piece, it is cool even though it is totally and completely impractical.
