Does Anyone Own This Thing!? I Mean Really!?

Is that a antenna I see? What the heck is that for?

EDIT My GF just pointed out that's probably a magnet but I'm using a iPhone so who knows.

From what I understand, it is actually a telescoping pointer for use by teachers, lecturers and the like. I think Wenger dropped it after they introduced models featuring laser pointers. I have seen a couple much smaller Wenger models geared towards those folks with a pointer, scissors and magnifier. Seems like they would be a nice office EDC.

I remember seeing a video about the Giant sometime ago and learned that the whole thing had to assembled by hand and that it featured every single tool ever available on a Wenger. Can you imagine trying to get the tension right while peening those pins? It staggers the mind.

I think it is awesome though (see my avatar) and if I have a grand available to drop on a mostly useless but completely hilarious curiousity such as this, it would be at the top of my list!

I’m pretty disappointed with mine.
The last time I needed a certain tool the stupid thing didn’t have it and I ended up being stranded.
It took me a half hour to find this out.

When, oh when, are they going to make a model with everything?

The good news is, my hernia operation was a success….

I woul buy it , if it had coffe maker and toaster in it , and flatscreen tv build in.

The model with everything was Kate Moss (not now).

I would love to have one of those if only to say to the girls - You wanna see my big wenger!

That thing looks like a Mars rover.
The only way that thing could be semi functional would be to take it apart and have 3,829 individual tools.

If you think about it 95% of the tools on that would be useless..
But it still would be cool to have

At one time, it actually had a laser on it, but it wasn't legal in certain countries so it was removed.
If you want a really good laugh, go to Amazon and look up the reviews. Funny stuff.

quite honestly, it's probably meant for people
who have the good fortune
of being blessed with
far too much disposable income

It's a presentation knife. Cutlers from Sheffield and Solingen have been doing this for over 100 years. It's an example to the public (be it consumers or contractors) of what they're capable of producing.

I understand the Opinel 13 is similar inasmuch as it's intended to be a display piece.

That said, I think you could actually use an Opinel 13.

+1
I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!

Looks like a telescoping magnet for retrieving tools and parts dropped into unreachable spaces.

I feel like if you have enough space to maneuver that behemoth close enough to actually pick something up, you may as well get the nearest 5 year old. He'd fit just as well. And he can pick up plastic stuff too!

Back pocket carry, you won't get any strange looks I promise.

I saw one at a knife store once, they wanted a grand too. It was impressive, and I would have loved to have one. Definitely a showpiece. BTW, you hook the little hook thing that nobody but me likes. You hook it on a big over the shoulder strap.....
