Hey guys,
I have searched and searched but can't find a post that I saw here a while ago.

Basically a member hear made a hand sanding fixture much like Nick Wheelers. Actually he made more then one and offered the other one for sale here.
I am sure that someone here has better "Search Fu" then I do, please let me know if you can find this thread or know who posted it.

Hey buddy, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the other one that Carl made is in my shop :o Not sure if he made any others.

If it wasn't for the fact that I use it for just about every knife I make now I would gladly send it over to ya!
 
I clicked that link... while I really appreciate him giving me a mention in that thread... I think a lot of folks have made things harder than they need to be with this.

The main thing is just putting some support under the blade. A single piece of angle iron can be used and it will work REALLY well.

I cut down the wide flange and used it, because I had it in the bin and it would do what I wanted it to.

Two pieces of flat bar welded into a T would work great too. :)
 
This one was made from a couple pieces of stainless I welded together... very simple... and worked great. It was just too high for me (hard on the wrists) in that vise. :)

Hey Jonny,
Sorry for the late reply but I just got home from a double shift.
I'm happy that you picked it up. I didn't think it would still be around but was curious if Carl had made more then just the two of them.

I hope you show up for chat tonight, it's not the same without you.

I did exactly what you have described above last night and its coming along very well.

Haha. Jonny, I though the exact same thing! BTW, Carl is da man for making a few of these. Very indispensable.
