Does anyone sell RC4 handle scales?

I have heard RAT answer this question many times and the answer is always the same.....no because the slabs or hand fitted to each knife......

& if you do that swap scales with someone & warranty work is needed ,the knife is to be returned in original condition to receive the no question asked warranty.... being you mod the scales knife is no longer in original condition...
Jeff or Mike may need to way in on this one... I fully understand the scales have no real bearing and only cosmetic but still the knife is not in original configuration as it was sold with the warranty IMO

This would be good to know. It doesn't seem like something that would void their warranty. If you remove the scales and paracord wrap a HEST and it breaks in half on you, I'm pretty sure they would take care of you. I don't see how other scales should be different but I wouldn't argue with them if they say otherwise.
 
I think it's simply that they don't warranty the handle scales. My guess is that if you sent it in for warranty replacement the knife you'd get back would have regular scales.
 
That being said I'm sure you could send it out to someone and they could fab some sweet new scales for ya'! If you ever busted the knife, just pop the old scales back on it before sending it in. I bet Jade Ghost G10 would look great on a stripped RAT with patina for instance.:cool:
 
Better question- Anybody have orange scales that wants the gray/black regular ones? :D

Nothing wrong with the ones I have, and not really looking to spend more money on custom scales or anything.
